A cool video has emerged of a man showing how to create an environmentally friendly jack-o'-lantern using solar lights.

The video, shot on Monday in Kansas, shows the man carving three holes at the top of his jack-o'-lantern to insert the solar lights.

The pumpkin appears perfectly lit and his invention earned him the first individual prize in a charity pumpkin carving contest for the "Make A Wish" foundation.
