Jared Axen can be heard singing throughout the halls of Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital in Valencia, CA, thus dubbing him “The Singing Nurse”. Full-time Nurse and part-time Musician, Jared has combined both of his talents to become a guiding light for patients and nurses everywhere.

Oftentimes you’ll hear Jared crooning popular songs of the ’40s and ’50s. “The majority of patients are of an older population, so a lot of what I sing is aimed at trying to bring them back to happier times and memories.”

Jared “The Singing Nurse” keeps the patient in mind; enforcing the quality of care that is essential to the success of a nurse. He is an inspiration to other nurses, musicians, and people everywhere. “Your interaction with somebody may be really small and you don’t really know what kind of impact you’re going to have on someone’s life. So, why not make it a positive one?”
