Former Army sergeant Noah Galloway never dreamed that he would be injured in combat, but when he returned home to Alabama from Walter Reed, he realized that life’s small tasks had suddenly become big challenges. “It took me a while to realize that I either out figure out new ways to get things done or I say you know what? I can’t do that and I accept that,” Galloway said. "Opening jars is tough ... My daughter loves pickles and the way I fix that is I tell her, ‘If you want pickles, go to your mom’s house.’”
