Few hours after stage actress Kismat Baig succumbed to her wounds at a hospital in Lahore, fellow artistes blocked Mall Road and demanded justice from the government.

According to Waqt News, several artistes gathered on Lahore’s Mall Road to record their protest over the death of Kismat Baig, who was shot eight times earlier in the evening.

The actress was travelling with her driver and personal assistant when unidentified gunmen opened fire, critically injuring Baig. The driver and personal assistant also sustained gunshot wounds.

Kismat Baig was moved to the emergency ward at Services Hospital after the incident where she succumbed to her injuries.
A female stage performer, Qismat Baig, and her gunman were injured on Thursday in a gun attack in Lahore, Samaa reported.

According to our correspondent, the dancer was travelling in her car along with the gunman when unknown armed men riding motorbikes fired shots on her vehicle in Harbanspura area this morning.
Police said the dancer received three bullets while the gunman, Ali Butt, received one in foot.

Both were rushed to hospital where they are said to be stable.
After collecting evidences from the crime scene, police recorded statement of Ali Butt and family member of Qismat Baig, who said it was an attempt on the dancer’s life.

Police were also investigating whether it was an attempt of robbery. The FIR of the incident was not filed till filing of this report.
