Department stores aren't the only ones happy with Black Friday sales. Prominent automakers like General Motors (GM), Ford and Toyota all experienced improved sales during the month of November. Ford's sales jumped 5.1 percent to 196,441 vehicles, driven by a 10 percent gain in retail sales. GM, on the other hand, saw sales climb 10.2 percent to 252,644, with record months across all four of its brands. Toyota posted a 4.3 percent rise in sales to 197,645 vehicles. Fiat Chrysler was not so lucky, reporting a 14 percent decline in sales to 160,827.
