My personal selection of most used rod and reel combos for saltwater surf fishing, jetty and pier fishing, bait and lure fishing. Note: to avoid needing finger protection for fishing lures with braided line, use Crazy Albert's knot to attach a mono shock leader to the braid. I use 25lb test P-Line for my shock leader - it allows me to cast as hard as I want without needing to protect my finger and its tough good quality line.
