Four days after the attack in Berlin, the alleged perpetrator Anis Amri was shot in Milan. This was preceded by a pan-European search for the Tunisian, whose fingerprints were found in the cabin of the lorry that was driven into the Christmas market on the evening of 19 December. Twelve people died, dozens were injured. AFP presents a chronology of the attack and its aftermath.
