With less than 5% of the ocean’s seafloor explored, it shouldn’t be a surprise that unexpected creatures live down there. That doesn’t make them any less startling when they come to light, however. Russian deepwater fisherman Roman Fedortsov has been documenting his ship’s most bizarre catches on Twitter and Instagram, and the photos are stunning (or, depending on whether you ever want to swim again, terrifying).
