There are two train stations in Nanning. This one is the more modern one, called Nanning east. Most high-speed trains are at this station.
The station is quite large but similar to most large recently-built stations. It is connected to the subway. From this station, there is also a shuttle bus to the airport.
The trains from Nanning to Hanoi depart from the other station. We found that the best way to transfer between the two stations is to take a train. At the time of our visit, the subway was not connecting the two stations yet.
