Dozens of female detainees and hostages, many of them with their children, were exchanged between Syrian government officials and rebel groups in Hama on February 7. The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said about 110 people, including 24 children, were exchanged, in the rebel-held town of Qalaat al-Madiq in Hama province. Many had been held for years, the observatory said. Pro-regime media reported that the women and children who came over to the government side were taken to Damascus. This video was shared by a pro-opposition media and is described as showing the ?liberating? of 55 pro-opposition detainees during the swap. A woman speaking at 1:12 says that she gave birth during her detention, in a room ?like a cell.? The last speaker to appear in the video says that 54 people on either side were involved in the swap.
