Means, The shakthi from Brahma came on a plane with swans and was having the drinking vessel and the chain of beads and that goddess was known as Brahmani.Oh goddess who travels in the air plane with swans, who is having the form of Lord Brahma and who sprinkles water mixed with Dhurbha grass, Our salutations to you, Narayani
Brahmi or Brahmani the first Matrka is the shakthi of Brahma. She is depicted in bright golden complexion, having four faces and four hands. In her back- right hand, she carries a kamandalu and in the back- left hand an Akshamala. The front- right hand gestures Abhaya and the front- left hand bestows Varada. She is seated under a Palasha tree, upon a red lotus. She is adorned in a mellow bright garment (Pitambara) and various ornaments; and, has on her head karanda-makuta. Her vahana and her emblem is the swan (Hamsa): (Amsumadbhedagama and Purva-karanagama).
She is the creative force of Lord Brahma (In Trinity Definition of Hindu System, Brahma is the Lord of Creation), with Shining golden body. She symbolizes creativeness in all forms of knowledge. She has four hands, holding Kundam, Akshaya Paathiram (Alms Vessel), Japa Maala (Rosary), and ladle (used for pouring oil into Yagna Gunda). Her vaahanaa (Vehicle) is Anna bird and Her flag carries that bird symbol. She displays Varadha and Abhaya Mudras.Shri Brahmi is Kaama Naashinya, meaning She is the destroyer of kaama or desires and She bestows Her worshippers with innate ability to transcend worldly desires.
