Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky claimed it's "excessive" to launch an investigation into President Trump's administration over Russian ties. Paul said of the investigation. Michael Flynn resigned as national adviser after inaccurately briefing Vice President Pence over his conversation with a Russian ambassador. Following the scandal, both parties immediately called for a probe into the Trump administration's ties to Russia. Paul, a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, asserted the investigation is not relevant since Trump already intervened.
