Jolyon Palmer heads into his second season of F1 racing with the Renault Sport F1 team looking to build on a solid maiden campaign... check out his vital statistics ahead of F1 2017!
Son of former F1 driver Jonathan Palmer, Jolyon first caught the eye in 2010 as runner-up to Dean Stoneman in the discontinued Formula 2 Championship.
Switching to GP2, Palmer clinched the title in dominant fashion in 2014 leading to a deal with the Lotus F1 team as its test driver
Impressing in several Friday FP1 outings, Palmer secured a full-time F1 drive with Lotus before it morphed into the factory-backed Renault F1 team.
A difficult maiden season yielded just a single points' finish, but having proven a match for more experienced team-mate Kevin Magnussen he is granted a second season alongside Nico Hulkenberg in the heavily revised RS17.
