A young flying fox was growing in strength and learning to flap its wings on February 20, while recuperating at a Queensland home that cares for bats.

Flying foxes, a kind of bats, typically begin to practice flapping between eight and 12 weeks of age, according to the video owner Denise Wade.

“But for now, Miss Asha is still very much a baby which allows me to spend time just enjoying and loving her as her birth mother would have done,” Wade said. Credit: Denise Wade via Storyful
