This was one of the most awesome scenes I have been lucky enough to witness - an old male lion surrounded by a clan of sixteen confident hyenas trying to defend a hippo carcass that they found! If the sights and sounds of this alone weren't enough, having a leopard watching this unfold on the opposite bank was just the cherry on top!
