Back in 2011 Arnold Schwarzenegger was in all the headlines for all the wrong reasons after it was revealed that he fathered a child outside of his marriage with a housekeeper.

In the upcoming issue of Men’s Journal, the host of “The Celebrity Apprentice” took a moment to reflect on the affair that ended his 25-year marriage to Maria Shriver.

“I can beat myself up as much as I want. It’s not gonna change the situation, so the key thing is, how do you move forward? How do you have a great relationship with your kids?”

Maria and Arnold have 4 children together and despite the split in 2011 the pair are still legally married.

The former bodybuilder and onscreen lethal bullet machine-turned-politician then candidly used a Terminator reference,

“I would go back in time and would say, ‘Arnold?...No. You know, it’s always easy to be smart in hindsight. That’s not the way it works.”

Funny, we always thought if anybody would be able to go back in time it would have been Arnold! Thankfully he and Maria still maintain a friendly relationship and are keeping a family first approach.
