West Bengal police lathi charged youth for cheating during the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education English examination in Malda district. The police baton charged the copy suppliers at the Kalindy High School under Manikchok block of Malda district. The incident occurred when the police tried to prevent some youth from passing copies to the candidates in their examination centres. As a result of that, the youth started pelting stones on police which also injured a few of the men in uniform. To control the situation, police lathi charged the agitators and also detained seven of them. Situation is now under control.
