CBS is creating a ‘Big Bang Theory’ spinoff series called ‘Young Sheldon.’ ‘Young Sheldon’ is a prequel that features a nine-year-old Sheldon Cooper that lives with his mother and goes high school. The series will feature actor Iain Armitage as Sheldon and Zoe Perry as his mother. 'Young Sheldon' is expected to air in the 2017-18 broadcast season.
