Police on ATV patrol through cottage country in Ontario were surprised to see a small roughed grouse appear and block the trail in front of them. They stopped their ATVs and stared, expecting the bird to fly away. The little fellow stood his ground and looked at them curiously. He almost seemed to defy them to try and pass. After several minutes, one officer got out his phone and took this video. The standoff lasted for a few more minutes before the daring bird walked right past them and then flew to a nearby tree.
