For some reason when I bench, my triceps start to feel when I feel like my chest has more left to go. I understand this is part of benching, however when I can do tri V-bar pushdowns at 8 reps of 150 lbs in control can it really be lack of strength? I also throw in close grip bench, skull crushers and a few others I cant think of without looking at my notes. A buddy of mine I was discussing this asked if I was "knuckling up" when I bench but I'll have to look into that today. It just gets frustrating when I feel the need to increase the weight when benching but then cant push the weight up after 3 reps because my tris start to burn out of control then fail soon after. Also considering talking to the PT at the gym to see if my form might be incorrect. Let me know your thoughts.
