Heavy rain and high winds lashed parts of New Zealand as Cyclone Cook tracked south, leaving some roads impassable on Friday, April 14.
The New Zealand Herald reported that clean-up was underway on the North Island while the South Island remained on alert on Friday as the cyclone brought heavy rain.
North Island resident Steve Workman shared footage of a road inundated by floodwaters at Te Aroha, in the Waikato district, on Friday morning.
