Nearly a million bags, clothes, cosmetics, electronics and other fake goods went to the grinder on April 9th, 2015. This is a longstanding annual tradition from a nostalgic time when piracy topped concerns among Thailand’s international peers. The destruction of counterfeit goods by the Department of Intellectual property will include stuff seized in more than 3,400 individual cases of copyright infringement. They were worth an estimated THB3.7 billion, or USD113.9 million.
