The Leslie Lohman Museum of Gay and Lesbian Art is world's first and only LGBTQ art collection. It has been active for the past 50 years but only gained an official museum status in 2011. Presently, the museum houses over 22,000 works of visual arts by over 1,800 LGBTQ artists.
