Saina Nehwal defeated Brazil's Lohaynny Vicente by 21-17,21-17. Though the Brazilian had the home advantage and the crowd behind her but it was not enough to upset the Indian who showed tremendous skills and claim composure. The Brazilian gave Saina tough competition through out the match but in the end it the former world no. 1 who came on the top. Nehwal will now face Ukraine's Marija Ulitina on Sunday.
