This was bound to happen. Dead End Hip Hop finally discusses Lil B. From the group The Pack to new found success as a solo artist, like or not, you are talking about Lil B. From the "Wonton Soup" to the 9th Wonder produced "Based for Your Face (ft. Phonte & Jean Grae)", Lil B has almost done a complete 360 in regards to the sound of his music. It's Lil B's cinematic rise to fame that allowed him to grace the cover of XXL as a 2011 Freshman Class member.
Lil B didn't stop there. Pushing the envelope as he has done since his rapid rise to fame, Lil B is taking it one step further with one of the most controversial album titles since Nas's "Nigger" with "I'm Gay".
How does a guy go from one rap extreme to the other? Was this all a game to build success and take advantage of a loophole in hip hop? Why the album title "I'm Gay". Is he seriously for Gay Rights or is this a part of the game. Well Dead End Hip Hop wants to know and I'm sure you do too. Is this guy for real? Is he mocking hip hop? Is Lil B a gimmick? Or is Lil B a genius? Someone say *swag*.
We really want to know what you all think about Lil B so let us know in the comment section. This should be good so let's go!
