Two inmates received lethal injections on Monday in Arkansas, only three hours apart in the nation's first double execution since 2000. The executions mark the state's 12-year hiatus on carrying out capital punishment. The first inmate, Jack Jones, 52, was executed around 7 p.m., while the second, Marcel Williams, 46, was executed around 10 p.m. Arkansas administered capital punishment to an inmate last week with has another execution planned for Thursday.
