A wildfire burning near Tucson, Arizona, prompted evacuations as it spread on Tuesday, April 25. The Sawmill Fire had burned 7,500 acres and was seven percent contained, according to the incident report, and was being driven by winds.
Evacuation orders were issued for about 80 homes, and another 88 homes were given pre-evacuation orders, according to a report. Those evacuated included 11 nuns from the Santa Rita Abbey, a report said.
The fire crossed the Sonoita Highway on Monday night, prompting its closure in both directions, a report said.
