TO NURI BILGE CEYLAN FOR "THREE MONKEYS"
The Best Director Prize was presented by actress Faye Dunaway to Turkish director Nuri Bilge Ceylan for Three Monkeys.

In the director's words, "Thank you very much. I’m really surprised and it’s a great, great honor for me. Of course, I would like to thank Thierry Frémaux and Gilles Jacob for the selection first and to the Jury. I would like to dedicate the prize to my lonely and beautiful country, which I love passionately."
