President Trump invited the president of the Philippines, Rodrigo Duterte, to the White House during a phone call about North Korea. Trump and Duterte discussed regional security in Asia and the Philippines' drug war, according to the White House. Although it isn't confirmed whether Duterte will be visiting the White House, Trump is heading to the Philippines in November. Duterte encouraged the U.S. to practice restraint and "not to start something they cannot control."
