Multiple fires were reported in downtown Portland during the May Day protest on Monday, May 1.

Portland Police declared the rally a riot, saying “anarchists” destroyed a police cruiser, attacked police officers, damaged windows and properties and set fires to objects. “Numerous people” were detained in the area around City Hall, according to the police.
