The Supreme Court will on Monday resume the hearing on the validity of the new law on appointment of judges with a Constitution Bench rejecting demands for recusal of judges. The apex court will examine the validity of the the new law, which has been notified, and replaces the two-decade-old collegium system of appointment of judges to the higher judiciary. Justice Khehar made it clear that the bench headed by him would like to complete the hearing and dispose of the matter in a particular time frame.
