Shares of Kate Spade jumped 9.9% Monday, after news broke that Coach will acquire the apparel and accessories company for $2.4 billion. Coach will pay $18.50 in cash for each Kate Spade share. Coach CEO Victor Luis said in a statement. The deal is expected to close in the third quarter of 2017
