Sun Belt RISE Program member Garrett Mansfield, a senior at Appalachian State University, spoke with senior Stanley Broaden, a men's soccer and track & field student-athlete. Broaden's highly-acclaimed, dual-sport career comes to a close this year but his legacy hopes will last far beyond his four years at Appalachian State.

The Sun Belt Conference RISE Program (Raising the Industry through Sports and Education). is a partnership between the Sun Belt Conference and its 13 member institutions that gives one student on each campus the unique opportunity to act as a standalone digital media correspondent for the conference office. Each student aspires to have a career in digital media and has worked closely with Sun Belt Conference staff in developing each of their stories to tell the stories of student-athletes in a unique, intriguing and most importantly honest way.
