Wahab Riaz, the Pakistan left-arm pacer, has been ruled out of the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy after he sustained an ankle injury during the encounter against India in Edgbaston. This was the fourth time that Wahab had conceded over 80 runs in an ODI innings, the second-most by a bowler behind Lasith Malinga. However, this was the most expensive figures in the history of the Champions Trophy tournament. Pakistan’s next match will be against South Africa and a loss in that game could see them exit the tournament early.
