Activists in the Hama provincial town of al-Lataminah captured the extensive damage and destruction which has taken place in recent weeks due to a prolonged regime air raid campaign. On June 11, over 20 air raids were reported by local activists.
The town, which has been all but evacuated with the exception of approximately 750 families, has been targeted on a near-daily basis with mortar and artillery fire as well as airstrikes since the launch of a rebel offensive in the north of Hama province in March. Despite the implementation of a Russia-backed de-escalation agreement in early May the aerial bombardments escalated in scale and scope, reducing much of the town to rubble.
