Ingredients:-
½ kg. Mutton
250 gms. Keema (Minced Mutton)
4 tbsp. Ghee
2 Bay leaves
12 pods of garlic, crushed
1” piece of Ginger, crushed
250 gms. Yoghurt
5 medium onions, finely chopped
4 medium tomatoes, finely chopped
1½ tbsp. Chilli powder
2 tsp. Coriander seed powder
Salt to taste
½ cup fresh coriander finely chopped
For Garam Masala, grind 5 green cardamoms, 15 cloves, 1” cinnamon, 15 black peppercorns and a small piece of nutmeg.
Method:-
1. Heat ghee in a pressure cooker and add the bay leaves and the mutton and fry for 5 minutes on a high flame. Add the minced mutton and fry further for 5 minutes.
2. Add the crushed ginger nad garlic and sauté for a minute and then add the onions and fry for 5 minutes.
3. Then add the powdered garam masala and fry for 3-4 minutes.
4. Add the tomatoes and fry for another 5 minutes.
5. Now add the chilli powder and the coriander seed powder and fry again for another 5 minutes till the tomatoes are soft.
6. Add the whipped yoghurt and sauté further for 10 minutes.
7. Add water, salt and pressure cook until 3-4 whistles are blown.
8. Garnish it with coriander and serve.
