A tornado warning was in place for the Fort Walton Beach area of West Florida on June 21, as Tropical Storm Cindy maintained its strength over the central Gulf of Mexico.

The National Weather Service instituted a tornado watch across 12 Northwest Florida counties through 10 am Wednesday. It also issued a flash flood warning for Okaloosa County until 1 pm.
