A BJP youth leader was arrested on Thursday in connection with a fake currency racket uncovered by the police in Kerala. According to reports, police recovered counterfeit currency worth Rs. 1,37,590 from the residence of the accused at Thrissur district along with printing machines and inks which were used to print the fake notes. A leader of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), Rakesh Ezhacherry was arrested by the police on charges of printing and circulating fake currency notes. The police recovered 55 notes of Rs. 2,000 denomination notes and 14 notes of denomination Rs. 500.
