Thousands of people, wearing red shirts, gathered at an intersection in downtown Winnipeg, Canada, to form the "largest living maple leaf" to celebrate the country's 150th anniversary. Downtown Winnipeg Biz, which organised the event, said at least 3,600 people were involved in the stunt that took place on Saturday (1 July) morning local time. A few people, wearing white, formed '150' under the maple leaf's stem.This is reported to be the seventh year that Canadians have gathered in the shape of the country's iconic symbol.
