South star Trisha, who was in Kochi recently, was all praise for Malayalam cinema. Not only did the actress expressed a wish to act in a Malayalam film, but also commented that Malayali audiences are very receptive to other languages.
"I know that Tamil films do very well over here. The audiences watch Tamil and even Telugu films and are very receptive," she said. So is she open to acting in Malayalam? "Of course, if something good comes up, why not? Kerala makes great cinema. My favourite actor would be Mohanlal."

The actress, who has a Kerala connection, adds that she visits the state once in three-four months for one reason or the other. "Mostly it's for shoots; films like Vinnaithande Varuvaya was mostly shot here. My grandmother still lives in Palakkad and I visit her often." Trisha is awaiting the release of the film Bhoolokam, and is also shooting for a Kannada film.
