Five people, including four children, were killed, and a fifth child was left with “very serious injuries,” in a multiple stabbing in Loganville, Gwinnett County, Georgia, on July 6, local police said. A woman was arrested.

The police officer giving this update, named as Cpl Michele Pihera, said it was “safe to say” the woman detained was the “wife/mother” of the people who resided in the house.

The woman was taken to a police station where she would be interviewed, Pihera said.

She said police had received a 911 call from inside the house but could not confirm that this came from the detained woman.
