The third time is the charm for Spider-Man as the most recent reboot of the famous superhero, 'Spider-Man: Homecoming,' claimed the top spot at the weekend box office. Marvel and Sony's latest rendition brought in a whopping $117 million, nearly double what it's predecessor, 'The Amazing Spider-Man,' brought in. $117 million is the third biggest opening weekend on 2017, only outpaced by 'Guardians of the Galaxy:Vol. 2' ($146.5 million) and 'Beauty and the Beast' ($174.8 million).
