Canadian Governor General David Johnston, broke royal protocol today when he touched the Queen on the elbow during her visit to Canada House. Johnston took it upon himself to hold the Monarch's elbow as she descended down the stairs of Canada House after attending a ceremony marking the anniversary of the unification of the British colonies of Canada in 1867. The Governor General also shook the Queen's hand before she and the Duke of Edinburgh left the event. Report by Russellcooperr.
