In 1973, toward the start of the Yom Kippur War, under direction from the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Ginzburg Rabbi went to the warfront to transmit the Rebbe's favoring to officer Ariel Sharon, who later ended up plainly eleventh Prime Minister of Israel. The following morning, after a fruitful fight, Ginsburgh gave Sharon a lulav and etrog.
