On Sunday July 30th angler Will Scheaffer was fishing off Dana Point fishing for Yellowtail and Dorado when the fishing group hooked up to a large Mako Shark. The anglers watched the Mako do somersaults and acrobatic moves all around the boat.
Captain Bo Daniel of Dana Wharf Whale Watching said he was shocked at the sheer size of the shark and thankful when it broke off. The Mako Shark was believed to be at least 400lbs according to the captain. Credit: Dana Wharf/Will Scheaffer via Storyful
