VTR: Greetings. Is mankind afraid of hell or afraid of God?     

ADNAN OKTAR: They are afraid of God, but hell is a display of God's might. Many people tend to be snobbish and tend to defy God. But when they behold the might of God, they immediately back down. In other words, disaster and trouble have dissuasive effect on people. Otherwise, there are few people who have an outright fear of God. Some people are not afraid of God, because they do not believe in God and they think that they will never actually be punished. But when God plagues them with a trouble, a disaster, they immediately fall in line.
