Police Respond to Active Shooter Near EPA Building, Reports 'Unfounded'

Police responded in force to the Environmental Protection Agency headquarters in response to shots fired on Wednesday, August 9, but the reports were “unfounded,” according to an EPA tweet.

Metropolitan Police cleared the EPA building and surrounding buildings. This video was from the White House Visitor’s Center on Pennsylvania Avenue, and shows police with full gear inspecting the area. EPA headquarters was on full lockdown, although no gunman was confirmed, according to reports.
