Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna is gearing up to campaign for Nandyal by-poll. Both the parties TDP and YSRCP are going to fight a bitter battle in Nandyal by-polls and recently, they raised controversies against each other over the validity of nomination papers. Already Telugu Desam Party candidate Bhuma Brahmanand Reddy and YSR Congress Party candidate Shilpa Mohan Reddy submitted their nomination papers. As per the sources, even Balakrishna and Nara Lokesh are planning to visit Nandyal before the by-election. TDP left no stone unturned on their way to win the Nandyal by-polls. The party has decided to win over Shilpa Mohan Reddy who developed a special vote bank in Nandyal constituency and prove their political power. On the other hand, Chandrababu is trying to attract the public in Nandyal with his latest schemes and visiting the place often. He said that Welfare Schemes, Extension of Highways, Housing and Pensions were given utmost importance.

Recently, Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy lodged a complaint with the returning officer for the by-elections stating that the affidavit submitted by YSRCP candidate along with the nomination papers was invalid as the license of notary Ram Tulasi Reddy who certified the affidavit expired way back in 2013 and it was not renewed. In counter, YSRCP leaders filed a complaint with the election commission stating that TDP candidate should be disqualified as failed to furnish his income tax details fully. Respond over these controversies, the returning officer forwarded both the complaints to EC authorities. As per the EC, if required, the candidates have the facility to make changes in the affidavits before the last date of withdrawal… August 9th. However, the Election Commission has approved the nomination of YSRCP candidate.
