GUANGZHOU, CHINA — A tiny gecko was removed from a man's ear by doctors in China.
The man supposedly woke up when the gecko crawled into his ear canal, according to the Southern Metropolis Daily.
He unsuccessfully tried to pull it out, so he made his way to the emergency room at Jinan University's First Affiliated Hospital.
Doctors used anesthesia to relax the gecko before using tweezers to pull it out alive from the man's ear.
Since the gecko was removed without a tail, doctors were initially worried that it may have fallen off in the man's ear canal. But after further inspection, it appeared that the gecko lost his tail before entering the guy's ear.
The man was released from the hospital. No word on what became of the gecko.
