A Queensland driver’s dashboard and rearview cameras captured the moment his or her vehicle was rear-ended on August 28.

This video shows the rear-end collision involving a driver who is looking down at his lap while behind the wheel on Beaudesert Road, Calamvale.

The author of the video wrote on a Facebook page for Australian dashcam footage: “Someone sending a very important text message accelerated in to the back of me while we were both stopped in traffic.
